The 1-3Lb foam cores are as follows:
1Lb is standard and soft,
1.5Lb is 33% more dense,
2Lb is 2 times as dense as 1Lb
and 3Lb is 3 times as dense.
The higher the density the more resistant to water penetration and the higher the Lbs the stronger the foam is.
When you have a tub that is wider than 85" or is susceptible to being stepped or layed on we recommend at least a 2Lb 5-3" Taper Cover.
